Katana Tachi Bushido, Aki no hi - Sharpened

A Tachi is a sword with a curved blade of about 70 cm ; this is the precursor of the classic Japanese katana sword.

This katana Tachi is made by a traditional forge specialized in the creation of high quality Japanese weapons with an exclusive design.

This Tachi with sharp blade has a beige braided handle, a gold and black hexagonal guard slightly rounded with finely worked floral motifs, a black lacquered wood scabbard (Saya) with a beautiful beige braiding and a brown & black Koshirae with gold detais.

This Tachi has a gold coloured Kojiri (end of the scabbard) and Kashira (lower part of the handle) decorated with flowers.
This Katana Tachi also has a Koiguchi (scabbard opening) and a Fushi (part between the guard and the handle) decorated with gold flowers.

This weapon can be used for cutting training.

Medium carbon 1045 steel (0.45% carbon) blades have a relatively flexible blade, ideal for cutting practice and can take heavy blows without breaking. However, the blade dulls more quickly compared to a high carbon 1065 steel (0.65% carbon).

The 1045 steel is the most common steel used in cutlery because it is a good compromise between hardness and flexibility and is easily sharpened. Do not forget to take care of your weapon by oiling the blade to avoid rust.

"Aki no hi" means "Autumn day" in Japanese.
