Katana Tachi Bushido, Raiju - Sharpened

A Tachi is a sword with a curved blade of about 70 cm ; this is the precursor of the classic Japanese katana sword.

This katana Tachi is made by a traditional forge specialized in the creation of high quality Japanese weapons with an exclusive design.

This Tachi has a sharpened blade, a beige and white braided handle with black filaments inside, a finely worked cloverleaf guard with flowery decorations and an orange lacquered wooden scabbard (Saya) decorated with an orange and white braided Koshirae. Engravings of Komainus (lion guardians from Japanese folklore) are on the ends of the Koshirae.

This Tachi has a Kojiri (scabbard mouth) decorated with black details and a Kashira (handle end) with black copper flower details.
It is also decorated with black copper flowers on its Koiguchi (scabbard mouth).

This weapon can be used for cutting training.

High manganese stainless steel blades are made of an alloy steel containing 12-14% manganese.
This type of steel is often considered the ultimate hardened steel: these blades are known for their resistance to rust, impact, abrasion and are sharp and flexible at the same time. Ideal for cutting training.

"Raiju" is a legendary creature from Japanese mythology. It translates to "the beast of lightning".
