Set of 3 Shirasaya Bushido, Hifumi - Sharpened

Set composed of a Katana, a Wakizashi and a Tanto mounted in Shirasaya.
These are Japanese weapons used by samurai and constitute the Daishō of the traditional samurai (the combination of weapons carried by a samurai).

When a blade was not mounted as a Katana (in times of peace or when the Katana was damaged), it was protected by a conservation scabbard (Saya) (Shira). The shirasaya type mounting is therefore not intended for use as a combat weapon.

These Shirasayas are made by a traditional forge specialized in creating high quality Japanese weapons with exclusive design.

These three Shirasayas have straight sharpened stainless steel blades with high manganese content, handles (Tsuka) and beautiful scabbards (Saya) made of varnished wood.
Habakis, kashiras and kojiris are gold plated and have traditional engravings.

High manganese stainless steel blades are made of an alloy steel containing 12-14% manganese.
This type of steel is often considered the ultimate hardened steel: these blades are known for their resistance to rust, impact, abrasion and are sharp and flexible at the same time. Ideal for cutting training.

This set of 3 Shirasayas is sold without a stand.
