Shuai jiao, otherwise known as Chinese wrestling, is a martial discipline practiced in hand-to-hand combat like traditional wrestling.
This discipline includes throwing but also dodging.
The rules remain relatively similar to classical wrestling and the goal is the same: to bring your opponent to the ground. As in classical wrestling, the referee takes into account the holds made and assigns a certain number of points to them; the winner is the wrestler with the most points at the end of the match or the wrestler who has succeeded in knocking down his opponent while remaining upright himself..
The choice of outfit
For Classic Wrestling
To get a good grip, the wrestler wears a tight-fitting jumpsuit that leaves the shoulders, back and upper torso clear.
The models are usually made of elastane.
For Shuai jiao (Chinese Wrestling)
There is no question of a suit for Shuai jiao, we use to wear a dalian ; jacket for Chinese wrestling.
This jacket is usually made of cotton.
We complete the outfit with trousers, it seems obvious but we prefer to specify it :).
