Fan, Traditional - The quest for success, Bamboo

This fan is made of bamboo and rigid satin-finisehd fabric with a clean design showing a horse race.
On the front we see a horse race with the head up; one of them is taking the lead. On the back we see 4 Chinese characters symbolizing the race to success; a reference to a long road to reach one's goals. This idea gave rise to the name of the fan.

This fan is not suitable for traditional Tai-Chi practice (slamming of the weapon).
It is designed for decoration and demonstration, it can also be used in summer :)

The different parts of a fan

• The leaf (also named mount) : fabric or canvas of the fan, it is the most decorated part
• The guards : thick branches at the extremities.

This part protects the fan when it is closed

• The sticks: branches located between the 2 pieces of leaf (fabric). The visible ones are called "sticks" and those covered by the leaf are called "ribs" or "slips".
