Fan, Traditional - Everlasting garden, Bamboo

This fan is made of bamboo and rigid satin-finished fabric and has a traditional design.
On the front, it features a flowery landscape on a golden background with two peacocks; animals symbolising immortality and prosperity. Hence the name of this fan.
On the back, you can admire a Chinese poem about the power of flowers and their virtues of wealth and romance.

This fan is not suitable for traditional Tai-Chi practice (slamming of the weapon).
It is designed for decoration and demonstration, it can also be used in summer :)

The different parts of a fan

• The leaf (also named mount) : fabric or canvas of the fan, it is the most decorated part
• The guards : thick branches at the extremities.

This part protects the fan when it is closed

• The sticks: branches located between the 2 pieces of leaf (fabric). The visible ones are called "sticks" and those covered by the leaf are called "ribs" or "slips".

Cet éventail est en en bambou et en tissu satiné rigide et possède un design traditionnel.
Sur le recto, il présente un paysage fleuri sur fond doré avec 2 paons; animaux symbolisant l'immortalité et la prospérité. d'où le nom de cet éventail.
Au verso, vous pourrez admirer un poème chinois sur le pouvoir des fleurs et leurs vertus de richesse et romance.

Cet éventail n'est pas adapté pour la pratique du Tai-Chi.
