Fan, Traditional - The 4 seasons, Bamboo

This fan is made of bamboo and rigid satin-finished fabric with traditional details.
The front of this fan shows four flowers in a precise cycle. From the left we find the chrysanthemum linked to autumn, the green bamboo linked to winter, the orchid to spring and finally the plum tree (more precisely the plum blossom) linked to summer; hence the name given to this fan.
On the reverse side are four poems dedicated to the four flowers illustrated on the reverse side.

This fan is not suitable for traditional Tai-Chi practice (slamming of the weapon).
It is designed for decoration and demonstration, it can also be used in summer :)
