This fan is made of bamboo and stiff satin fabric and has a sleek, traditional design.

This fan is not suitable for traditional Tai-Chi practice (weapon snapping).
It is designed for decoration and demonstration, it can also be used in summer :)

The different parts of a fan:

• The leaf : fabric or canvas of the fan, this is the most decorated part
• The plume: upper thick branch (this is the branch facing the user when opening)
• The counter-panache : lower thick branch (part opposite the plume)

These parts help protect the fan when closed

.For right-handers, the plume is the branch furthest to the right when the fan is open (the counter-plume is to the left)For left-handers, the plume is the branch furthest to the left when the fan is open (the counter-plume is to the right)

• Strands: branches located between the 2 tissues. The visible part is called the "strand" and the part covered by the fabric is called the "tip" or "arrow".
