The story of the MP40:
The Maschinenpistole 40, more commonly called MP 40, is a submachine gun created by Heinrich Vollmer in 1940 with the aim of disarming German soldiers from their assault weapon.

Equipped with a magazine with a capacity of 32 9mm cartridges, with a range of about 100/150 meters, it is a rather decent quality weapon. Its recoil is relatively low even with a burst fire and thanks to its low rate of fire, this makes the MP40 a perfect weapon for close range shots. However, it is therefore not very effective in open country, it is for this reason that the STG-44 was subsequently born, the predecessor of modern assault rifles.

This automatic rifle was used for a long time by Nazi German troops during World War II. By the end of the war, approximately 1,047,000 units were manufactured, and thousands were captured by the Red Army. These weapons were also used for the Indochina conflict by the French and later in the Korean and Vietnam wars.
