Ninja sword, two-handed - Hu yan, Rigid Semi-Sharp

This sword with a straight blade made of refined steel, has a high quality finish.
This model is a mix between a ninjato sword and a ninja sword because of the length, the shape and the weight of its blade.
The Ninjato is commonly small (the blade rarely exceeds 50cm) and can be handled with one hand because it is relatively light.
Here, we are dealing with a heavy model (more than 1.3kg) which is handled with two hands and whose blade is 74cm long.

Its scabbard is made of wood, covered with a black PVC sheath with raised patterns reminiscent of crossed chains.
It is sublimated with black ornaments in the shape of a tiger's head which are perfectly and discreetly integrated into the scabbard.
Its kojiri (reinforcement at the end of the scabbard) and its guard in the shape of a tiger biting the sword and the scabbard, give it character and embellish the whole.
"Hu Yan", which can be translated as "the eyes of the tiger" in Chinese, refers to the red eyes of the tiger head on the guard.
A detail that gives it character.

Its handle is covered with a black imitation leather strap, which surrounds it along its entire length.
It is finished with a black metal decoration in the shape of a tiger's tail that curls around itself.

Its blade, which categorizes it as a ninja sword because of its shape (used by ninja to be able to stick it to the ground without it sinking too much in case of need) is made of black lacquered steel on the "non sharp" part.
It is not sharpened but its point is sharpened and very sharp.

This sword comes with a storage case so you can preserve it for years.
Remember, to increase the life of your sword, you must treat the steel well!
