Nunchakus Foam/Chain, ARE113-4

This weapon consists of two pieces of wood/steel/foam/stainless steel of equal length, connected at the ends by a chain or rope. The sticks can vary and measure between 30 and 35 cm in length.

A very effective weapon for those who know how to handle it, the origins of the nunchaku are not clearly established. It was widely used in Japan but may have originated in China (where it is called “suang jie gun” or “er jie gun”). It is the weapon of choice of Bruce Lee, who greatly popularized its use.

Warning: the nunchaku is relatively dangerous for inexperienced practitioners.
