Smooth rice straw pattern (similar appearance to cereal stalks braided together) on both sides. The double wave "rice straw" serrated surface is provides a very good grip and very good anti-slippery properties in all directions, this finish is non-abrasive, and is most suitable for disciplines that involve a lot of ground work.
This texture faithfully reproduces that of traditional tatami mats, providing controlled grip and good support without excessive abrasiveness. It allows for smooth transitions on the floor while preserving the integrity of the skin and equipment. This type of surface is designed to optimize safety during falls and throws, while ensuring good training comfort.
Ideal for judo, aikido, MMA, grappling, and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.

The thickness of 4 cm allows a better shock absorption during falls. If your sport or activity doesn't imply frequent falls such as judo, you can choose a thiner mat (we also supply 2 cm and 2.5 cm mat).

Jagged border allows an easy and very quick casing and dismantling, also prevent slippage.
