Katana Bushido, You renwu - Sharp

This Katana bushido with its particular design is made by a traditional forge specialized in the creation of high quality Japanese weapons with an exclusive design.

The mid-grade 1045 (0.45% carbon) steel blades have a relatively soft blade that is ideal for cutting practice and can take hard hits without breaking. However, the blade dulls faster compared to high-grade 1065 steel (0.65% carbon).

1045 steel is the most common steel in cutlery because it is a good compromise between hardness and flexibility and it is easily sharpened. Note that the blade remains very rigid.

"You renwu" means "with tasks"

Features of the Katana:

The blade is sharp, and rigid. It can be used for cutting work.

The handle (Tsuka) is made of resin and has a purple cotton weave.

The scabbard (saya) is in black painted wood, decorated with purple spots (speckled effect, hence its name).

Maintenance tips :

We advise you to clean your blade after each training session, or each month without use. In order to protect the blade, we invite you to clean it and apply a light coat of oil to prevent rust/oxidation
