The Katana is a japanese sword used by the samurais. 
The Bokken is a Japanese wooden sword with the same size and shape as the Katana. It can be used with the guard (Tsuba) which protects the hands, or without the guard.
It is used in Aikido, Kendo or Ninjutsu Ninja.

This katana is a black lacquered bamboo replica with white leatherette handle and braided rope.
Very light, it can be used as a decoration with a weapon holder or for training in initiation.
However, this weapon is not designed for combat, blade against blade, or any other type of impact.

This replica is the perfect combination of a steel katana and a wooden bokken. It combines the traditional look of a katana, with the safety of training with a dummy weapon.
Unlike its wooden counterpart, which weighs between 400 gr for the lightest and 800 gr (most often in red or white oak), this bamboo model is extremely light, weighing less than 200 gr.

The blade and the handle of this katana are made of bamboo, covered by a black lacquering, slightly shiny.
The handle is covered with a white leatherette, surrounded by a black nylon rope carefully braided.
The guard (Tsuba) is made of rigid plastic which gives a very good quality pitted metal effect.
The scabbard (Saya) is made of smooth black plastic. It is sublimated by a knotted rope with a traditional look.
