Thickness:

• 3 cm may be considered for a dedicated training area.
• 4 cm minimum recommended for competitions to ensure good shock absorption and optimum safety.

Covering:

• Synthetic fiber mat, offering a non-slip, comfortable and resistant surface, perfectly suited to the demands of martial arts. Complies with all competition standards.
• Official FFKDA and FFAEMC surface manufactured and issued by NineStars®

Dimensions:

• Fighting area: The practice area remains 8 x 14 m for all mat sizes, guaranteeing a standardized fighting surface.

• Waiting area: for 8 x 14 m surfaces:

Surface designed with a white strip on the outer edge of the mat (with no actual waiting area on the surface itself). This saves space, especially in smaller training rooms.

• Waiting zone : for surfaces 9 x 15 m and larger:

> 9 x 15 m: 50 cm waiting area around the fighting surface, delimited by a white line 50 cm from the edge.
> 10 x 16 m: 1 m waiting area around the fighting surface, delimited by a white line 1 m from the edge.
> 12 x 18 m: 2 m waiting area around the fighting surface, delimited by a white line 2 m from the edge.
