The karambit is a small Indonesian curved knife resembling a claw. According to folklore, it was inspired by the claws of a tiger.
Today it is one of the main weapons of Silat and is also commonly used in Filipino martial arts and for self defense, but was originally used for agricultural tasks or to remove and treat animal skins.
